Carrauntoohil Climb Information Itinerary

Locations: Pat Falvey’s Mountain Lodge (V93 YK75) or Cronin’s Yard (V93 HK71). Specific location will be confirmed prior to the date by a team member via call or email.

Standard Meeting Time: 08:30 AM, followed by a brief safety introduction. Private guiding schedules may vary based on fitness levels and preferences.

Methods: Pre-booking via Debit/Credit card or wire transfer is preferred. Cash payments are accepted on the day.

Notes: Arrive on time as climbs typically take 6 to 7 hours. Bring payment or proof of payment.

Check the forecast 2-3 days before the climb. Call our office for updates.

Alternate Plans: In case of unsuitable weather, alternate routes or rescheduling options will be discussed.

08:30: Team meeting for safety and logistics briefing.

09:00 – 16:30: Climbing period (approximate total of 7 hours).

16:30 – 17:00: Post-climb debriefing and sign-out.

Suitable for fit, healthy individuals. Contact our office for any health or fitness concerns.

Fitness Assessment for International Treks:

  • Ideal for assessing fitness and testing gear for future treks in destinations like Nepal, Africa, or South America.

The climbing pace will accommodate the slowest team member to ensure group cohesion and summit success.

Trekking boots, rain jacket and pants, warm clothing, wool hat, warm gloves, rucksack, trekking pants/tracksuit bottoms, head torch (for winter/night climbs).

At least 2 liters of water, chocolate/energy bars, 2-4 sandwiches, hot drink in a flask for cold days.

Expect to expend 3000-4000 calories and take approximately 25,000 steps.
