What a start to 2020. We have had such a busy two months, and I want to share some of the highlights with you from our adventures, presentations, events and training courses throughout the world! Join my team on a journey of adventure this year and me.

Adventures around the World:

As I write this, I have just returned from Africa with a team that climbed Kilimanjaro as well as doing a Safari into the Crater of the Rain God Ngorongoro before heading to do reconnaissance in Zanzibar.

The last two month my teams and I have been working all around the world. We have had great success on seven summit challenges Antarctic, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Iceland as well as doing training skills courses and treks here in Ireland. More on this below.

Corporate / Personal Development events:

The year started with me speaking at Croke Park doing a kickstart/ year-end for Trinity Corporation sales conference on “To The Summit Together”. Then my usual yearly visit to The Pendulum Summit where I met up with fellow adventurer Bear Grylls and many more inspirational people. From there, I headed to Iceland on tour as well as talking on Global warming and climate change. Before flying home to Ireland to present my “YOU Have The Power” to Credit Union Development Association (CUDA) AGM in the INEC in Killarney and doing another presentation in The RDS for the National Alliance of Solicitors success through collaboration on the 20th of February. Personal development message:

My Message this month is to remember you have only one life and don’t waste it.

Don’t Procrastinate, “You only live once”. There are plenty of opportunities this year for you.

Dream – Dare – Do and take action, “Life Isn’t a Rehearsal. It’s a performance”. The greatest regret people have when they are dying is that they haven’t travelled more. Take action now!

You can contact the team or me to discuss the options, whether it’s an adventure cruise to Antarctica to trekking in some of the most amazing places on our planet earth, or simply going on a mindful walk or course here in Ireland.

We offer a wide range of courses for individuals, groups, teams and companies which focus on personal and team development and skills attainment.

Get in touch with my team if there is anything we can do to help you achieve your goals or dreams in 2020.

Just returned from Kilimanjaro summit, Safari to Ngorongoro Crater and Zanzibar

I have just landed back into the office after flying in from tropical Zanzibar, having relaxed after we summited Kilimanjaro with a great group of people. With ever-changing weather conditions, we had three groups on the summit. We had conditions from -2 degrees to -20 degrees on the summit attempts. Some of the team then continued to Safari.

10th January: Iceland: Adventure, learning & relaxation all in one trip

Iceland

Global Warming:
This was a fantastic trip to experience Iceland’s volcanoes, glaciers, and researching the devastating consequences of global warming and climate change there.

It was an exciting and eventful week exploring the highlights of Iceland along with Murt Dineen, who is my friend and partner in Iceland. We had winds of 40m per second (137kph) and wind chill temperatures reaching -16C at the worst.

I was blown away by the stark Arctic landscape and warm and welcoming people who have a genetic link to the Irish. I’m also developing new itineraries for my adventure company for 2020 and beyond. It’s a spectacular country to explore, and much of which is not on the regular tourist trail. Keep posted for the new Iceland itineraries!

19th January South Pole and Mount Vinson Success!

Team member James Allen from Australia

Team member James Allen from Australia

On day 53 with over 1134km of pulling and skiing across some of the harshest and coldest terrains on our planet. They arrive at the South Pole. James, after the South Pole, went on to climb Mt Vinson, the highest summit in the Antarctic. Joe Divine was also climbing Mt Vinson on Antarctica one the of world’s 7 Summits Challenge.

What a great achievement it brings back so many good memories for me. James and I were climbing partners on Everest Northside in 1995 when he became the youngest climber in the world to summit Everest. Now, after 25 years, we work together again. I’m so proud and privileged to manage and work on the logistics for James on this project and his goal of completing the 7 Summits and 3 Poles project this year with him. It just shows that with the right mindset, what you can achieve!
