CARRAUNTOOHIL PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT
By joining us on this ascent of Carrauntoohil, you are embarking on an adventure. By definition, an experience carries certain inherent risks and an element of unpredictability. When something becomes completely safe and predictable with no inherent risk, it ceases to be challenging or to be an adventure. Your safety and enjoyment on the climb is our number one priority, but in these challenging and unpredictable conditions, the inherent risks cannot be eliminated. We cannot accept any liability for any injury, loss or damage which you may encounter on your adventure with us.
Dangers: Hiking and climbing are strenuous activities, which require an element of physical fitness. While we can advise you on the level of fitness required, only you can decide if the climb is suitable for you. You need to be satisfied that you are in good health and in good shape to make your adventure safe and enjoyable and that you have notified us of any reason you should not undertake the climb.
Cut Off Times: On each of our climbs we will have turning times and set points on the route that each participant will have to reach without being under stress and if not we reserve the right for your safety and that of the group on the day to ask you to return to base. The final cut off times will be decided by your guides and notified to you at the beginning of the climb.
