Day 3: Fly Kathmandu–Lukla (2,860m)Trek to Phakding (2,610m). Overnight inPhakding.
Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3,440m) Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 5: Rest day with acclimatization trek to3,800m. Time to chill out and explorethe village.
Day 6: Trek from NamcheBazaar to Dingboche(4,410m).
Day 7: Trek from Dingboche to Pheriche(4,371m).
Day 8: Rest day in Pheriche withacclimatization trek to 4,500m.
Day 9: Trek from Pheriche to Lobuche(4,940m)
Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep(5,164m)
Day 11: Trek from Gorakshep to Everest BaseCamp (5,364m). Return to Lobuche(4,940m). Overnight in Lobuche.
Day 12: Journey from Lobuche to Dingboche(4,410m) and spend the night there.
Day 13: Trek to Chucking (4,730m) with anovernight stay.
Day 14: Ascend toIsland Peak Base Camp(5,080m) for overnight camping.
Day 15: Acclimatization day with a trekup to 5,600m.
Day 16: Attempt the summit of IslandPeak and return to Chucking.
Day 17: Descend from Chucking toDingboche for the night.
Day 18: Trek from Dingboche to Monjoand stay overnight.
Day 19: Proceed from Monjo to Lukla,with an overnight stay.
Day 20: Take a flight from Lukla toKathmandu.
Day 21: Enjoy a free day for relaxation orexploration.
Day 22: Depart from Nepal, flying backto Dublin.
Day23: Arrive back in Ireland,completing your journey.
Our Island Peak climb is suitable for most fit people who have some experience of alpine skills. We provide courses at the Mountain Lodge in these skills for anyone who wants to develop these the skills required, hone their existing skills or have them assessed by our instructors.
We recommend that you visit us at The Mountain Lodge to say hello and meet team and we can go through gear. We also provide a good opportunity to get any questions answered, or concerns dealt with, that you may have in relation to the trip. We’ll talk about dealing with altitude and different weather conditions as well as giving tips on gear and general training.
We consider ourselves among the world’s leading experts in high-altitude trekking and pride ourselves on putting together trips that provide the best possible opportunity to succeed. Acclimatisation is key to success and it’s important that you don’t underestimate the time you allow yourself to adjust to your new environment. Pace is key to preventing AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) and our guides monitor the group at all times for signs and symptoms. Ask your GP for advice on vaccinations, keeping in mind your travel history to date.
You will need a valid full passport. Please ensure it has 6 months before expiry prior your departure date. In Nepal we obtain our visas to travel in the country. All visitors are obliged to get a visa at Kathmandu airport so please ensure you have four passport-size photos of yourself before we depart (visa fee not included in the trip price).

The land-only cost is €5000, and additional details about inclusions/exclusions can be provided upon request. If booking your own flights, note that airport transfer costs apply. Secure your spot with a refundable €500 deposit at booking. Flight expenses are settled upon confirmation. Full payment is due 16 weeks before departure.
