Day 1: Depart from Dublin / Arrival in Lima
Arrive in Lima, where our guide will escort you from the airport to your hotel in the vibrant capital, a city rich in history and culture.
Day 2: Lima to Cusco 3400m.
Fly from Lima to Cusco. Settle into your hotel and acclimatize to the high altitude at 3400m.
Day 3: Cusco Leisure 3400m
Enjoy a leisurely day in Cusco. Explore at your own pace, soaking in the local culture.
Day 4: Cusco – Chiquisca 1875m
Depart early for a scenic drive to Sayhuite, followed by a trek to Chiquisca where you’ll camp under the stars.
Day 5: Chiquisca- Marampata 2860m
Trek from Chiquisca through vibrant cloud forests to Marampata, enjoying the diverse flora and stunning views.
Day 6: Maampata – Choquequirari 3340m
Explore the Choquequirao complex, immersing yourself in the mysteries of its ancient ruins.
Day 7: Choquequiraro – Pincha 2487m
Continue your hike to Pincha Unuyoq, where you’ll camp near this intriguing archaeological site.
Day 8: Pincha – Maizal 3000m
Descend to the Rio Blanco and climb to Maizal, experiencing a rigorous yet visually rewarding day.
Day 9: Maizal – Yanama 3500m
Climb to the Abra San Juan pass, enjoy breathtaking views, and descend to the village of Yanama.
Day 10: Yanama – Totora 2860m
Ascend to the Totora pass, witnessing the majestic Salkantay peak, and camp in Totora.
Day 11: Totora – Santa Teresa 2060m
Descend through diverse landscapes from high-altitude trails to semi-tropical valleys, camping near Santa Teresa.
Day 12: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes 2040m
Hike to Llactapata then to Aguas Calientes, preparing for the Machu Picchu visit. Spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 13: Machu Picchu 2430m (Huayna Picchu)
Visit the iconic Machu Picchu, with an optional climb of Huayna Picchu for extraordinary views.
Day 14: Sacred Vally – Cusco 3400m(evening)
Tour the Sacred Valley including Ollantaytambo, Maras, and Moray. Return to Cusco for the night.
Day 15: Cusco-(Vincunca optional tour)
Enjoy optional activities or relax in the city, absorbing more of its enchanting atmosphere.
Day 16: Arrive Lima (early)
Day 17: Depart Lima(evening)
A transportation service will pick you up from your hotel at the established time and will transfer you to the airport.
Day 18: Arrive back in Dublin.
