Description
Our trekking and expedition training camps are designed with the triple aim of identifying your physical, mental and skills fitness for high-altitude trekking and big mountain climbing, outlining the areas where further training and support is needed and providing that support and training.
During these training camps, which are generally two days long, our expert trainers outline the physical and mental challenges of high-altitude trekking and climbing. We work in a simulated environment where you will learn how to deal with the challenges that your trek or expedition will throw up.
Whether you are climbing Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Russia, Aconcagua in South America or heading for the high-altitude mountains of Europe or the Himalaya, we will take you through in detail what to expect and how best to ensure you are fully prepared for the challenges ahead.
You will experience a typical day on one of these treks or climbs from the time you wake to the time you go to sleep. You leave all your sleeping and camping equipment behind while moving and carry only your personal backpack. At night we return to a campsite near the Mountain Lodge where we simulate the camp layout you will encounter while on your trek or expedition.
This training camp is highly recommended if you are planning to complete a trek or expedition abroad and our expert instructors will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
